How to raise throw on STS?

I was reading some posts about how using a really short STS can damage the synchos/slave cylinder. On the Maxima I bought, there is a Pacesetter STS set at ~50% throw. I'd like to raise it to about 75% just to save wear and tear on my synchros, but don't know how hard it is to do it. I did searches and read through Cheston's maximadriver.com install on the Pacesetter, but I still have no clue how to raise it (a little). Any help or links to other articles would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You need to move the ball down towards the bottom of the shifter. I'm not sure if you can do it without disassembling the whole thing, or if you can just do it from the cabin. But at 50% you should be fine. I have mine at almost the shortest throw.
