Fuel Pump

Suggestion of getting a higher flow fuel pump when installing nitrous. I just installed my zex nitrous kit and wanted to change spark plug and fuel pump. Where would I get a high flow fuel pump and what's the price range I'm looking at??

THANXS~~

www.autoperformanceengineering.com get the 3rd gen DSM pump, 255lph, $118 shipped.

BTW, many, including myself, use this pump, it's a direct fit.

Wow, the "moderators" let this post go unlocked, and the title just said "fuel pump" which is officially under 3 words. This is a very useful thread in my opinion, maybe that is why they haven't locked it yet.

The 3rd Gen DSM Pump is for the '95-'98 Talon/Eclipse/Laser (turbo) from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/ Part #FPD 006 and it is a Walbro pump, all the same thing, the FPD 006 is just the autopeformanceenginering part#.

Hope that clears it up.

3rd gen is the current gen right?

I'm pretty sure it's the 2nd gen DSM pump that I got.

No. The pump that jime and others are referring to is listed as a "dsm" pump that fits the eclipse turbos, but it's a direct fit on 4th gen max's. It just happens to be listed that way in their website but it's still the one we need. The pump is a Walbro 255L high volume pump and it drops right in place of the stock 190L. Use the stock number Jime stated and you will be just fine.

Its pretty easy really. I did get a new o-ring for the tank top but don't think I really needed it. I used these instructions.

Shouldn't take you any more than 45 mins.
