Opinions on Voxx wheels
Opinions on Voxx wheels
Im looking to get some 17" rims for my 96 Maxima.
Looking on Discount Tire's site I came across Voxx Forza (Gunmetal grey 5 spoke) and the Voxx FA (silver powder coat) wheels.
Anyone have these rims on their cars? Which would be better 17x7 or 17x8?
Anyone have any Anthricite colored wheels on their Maximas.
I would appreciate all your opinions before I make a purchase. Thanks in advance!

I like the 2nd ones a lot more..
those Anthricite rims aren't too good looking to me, that 5 spoke design is extremely plain and matched with that finish they will not even look like aftermarket wheels much.. I would go with the 2nd pair if I had to choose from those 2. As far as "voxx" i don't know of the company, should be pretty good i guess, it's european..

I was thinking about going with the Voxx JB or MGR untill I saw them in person at the local dealer. They looked pretty decent but not as good as they did on the website.
After doing some searching around to find some pictures of dark wheels I found that to me black cars look the best with dark wheels. In my opinion light colored wheels would look the best on your car.
There are more tire size options with 8" wheels so I would (and did) stick to 8" rims. 235's fit great but it looks like 245's would fit perfectly too. And there is plenty of room between the strut and the front tire. It looks like about 1.5".
I decided on the Borbet Type E in 17 X 8 with 35mm offset. They look awesome, were inexpensive, and arrived in three days from Tire Rack. They look better in person than on the site because the spokes are thinner than they look in the pictures and the quality is like OEM. I also got 235/45 Bridgestone Potenza RE950's mounted and balanced at the same time so installation would be simple. Tire Rack included everything needed like the hubcentric rings, new lugs, and I bought a set of Mcgard locks at a reduced price. They really do fill the wheelwell perfectly.

There are some better pictures of the wheels on Shingles car. Just a few more angles that give you a better idea of what they look like.
Keep in mind that pictures never look as good as the real thing. You just can't see how wide the wheels really are.
