i dont know too much about symptons of cv joint failure, but lately if ive been drivin a lot, when im coming to a stop, (under 5mph) ill hear a popping sound that sounds like its coming from somtiems the right wheel and sometimes the left front wheel. same noise when i am taking off very conservativley it will make a couple popping sounds, so basically when slowing down and taking off after a day of a lot od driving, what could it be? thanks

 

Maybe your motor mounts or transmission mounts. I kind of start getting some popping clicks once in a while too but haven't checked yet...

 

Bad cv joints usually pop when you're in a tight turn at low speeds and they won't "move" from one side to another, unless both sides are shot. Could be mounts as stated or loose suspension components, brake hardware, etc.
