uh-oh my car wont start
Mine is doing a similar thing but it eventually starts after about 10 secs. Find the fuel hose from the top of the fuel filter, have someone turn your key to the on posistion while you lightly pinch that hose. As the key is turned to on you should feel pulsating in the hose - that'll mean that your fuel pump is delivering fuel. If you don't feel that pulsating then further diagnose your fuel pump. If you do feel the pulsating then you are where I am at in my diagnostics of my own car. I am suspecting either a faulty fuel pressure regulator or a leaking or weak injector.
Too early to tell. I need some free time to diagnose better. I'll post if I find anything out. Good luck w/ yours.

Had the same issue with an I30 - turned out to be the crank shaft position sensor. The car can't start if it doesn't know where Top Dead Center is.
There are two sensors, one is on the crank under the lower pullie and the other is on the oil pan near the bell housing.
If either of these sensors fail, you get a no start condition.

well the nissan guy i knew came back yesterday and checked out my car. come to find out, the 99 se-l keys have a computer chip in them so that the car will start. he said the mobil speed pass that my wife has on her keys erases the codes on the key. when you go to start the car with this key without any programming on it, the car thinks its being jacked and then shuts everything down. The ecu will recieve signals, but it is told not to send any signals out. theres this computer that nissan has called the consult which reprograms your car and keys together. they will do that to my car today to get it started. he also said that this can happen if you stick another nissan key in the ignition by mistake. which i know that day i stuck my 90 maxima key in the ignition and tried to turn it when i realized oops wrong key! well i gues you live and learn.
