calling all Forum old timers....

I was into this stuff years ago when the 4th gens just came out and have been away from this for awhile. I was wondering if anyone knows of and/or has heard from Shaun Tran and Andi B. or even Steve Cutchen a couple of stalwarts from the early days of the Maxima forums?

Last time I heard, Andi was autocrossing his Supra. >>

Doesn't come around here.

I'm not sure I've seen the others either.

I miss Booker's stories.

Andi B. got a supra a long time ago. He was a smart Kid, and he is the one who startred the MAx FAQS, IIRC. Booker was the man, he was hilarious with the storeis and what not. Don't know what Shaun Tran is doing.

Hey I remember those days.... Like when Cattman's stuff was first coming out...

And when the y-pipe thing was new....

And you had to scroll through tons of messages...

All the other old timers are mostly gone.

Talk about old timers, I remember posting to this message board in the days of "Evan's Maxima Page"...that was before the BBS was hosted by Andi, Russell, Chad, Shing, or Jambo.

Yeah Booker's stories were the best. I knew the guy in real life and he was all cool. He left the BBS when he moved to Colorado to start a new life with his family.

I remember going to Evan's Maxima page when I first picked up my Maxima back in July of 1997 and was looking for mods! It was always good entertainment watching Andi and Russel argue back and forth all the time.

It was more entertaining watching Andi put Russel back in his place.

Well, I'm a junior old timer.

Been member since summer '98. I'd post something like
"How do I install the clear corners?"
and the Great Andi Baritchi would personally reply to the threads. LOL

Ya Eric, I too remember the days of Evan's page. After taking a few years away from the bbs balony and coming back I can't believe how much it has grown and organized.

Russell,Chad,Shing and Jambo...those names bring back the memories... Anyone know what those guys are doing and driving now ?

Thanks for the replies guys... good to know there some 'old timers' with a memory still around.

I remember the org back when it was just NISMO.org. And instead of a BBS, we just had a page to post roadkill stories. Anybody have that old picture of Andi at Maxus 99'? Booker's stories were the best. I was in one of them. "Roadkilled by a School Bus" was a one of the funniest. I was a young-buck back then...driving a 3rd gen, teaching Maximamike how to mod his Huffy.

Ya Shauno was one of the first defectors from the Maxima camp. IIRC wasn't he was the 1st to put a 97 nose on a 95 or 96 or something? And how bout Russell when he put in Bosch +4's and one of the electrodes broke off on one of them and destroyed a piston and/or valves or something ? The f'ing good ole days...hehehe

oh yeah Andi, how in the world did you get your masters so quick ?
I graduated from high school when I just turned 16, and had my B.S. in Electrical Engineering at 20y.o. No masters for me until I got me a job that will pay for it
