Hey there,

I'm new here but I've been doing a lot of research on suspension since I'm doing mine real soon. Our Maximas apparently have a front swaybar but I hear that it is best to keep that stock. If anything, upgrade the bushings.

For the RSTB, I hear that you probably will not notice the difference with it on or off.

Hope this helps.

front sway bar no..........front strut bar yes........... rstb is kinda worthless for the maxima - doesnt show much improvement in handling

No actually I didn't look into the bushings. I was just planning on doing struts/shocks, springs, FSTB, RSB.

Which bushings? If your asking about the front sway bar bushings, yes there is an upgrade for them. Courtesy Nissan, found on the web sells Energy Suspension Urathane bushings for the front sway bar on our cars. YES OUR CARS HAVE FRONT SWAY BARS. Every car on the road has some sort of sway or stabalizer bar on the front suspension.

http://www.courtesyparts.com/energys...on/maxima.html

Part number 4803G - You need 4 bushings.

The other bushings on that page, part number 7-5118G are the bushings that secure the bar in place - There are two of them and I think the price shown is for the set of two.

is it worth getting the rstb?
No, but a Rear Stabalizer Bar (RSB) will give you the stability your looking for. Addco makes a nice bar for the Maxima for about 100 bucks.

if we have a front sway bar than that means there is no need to change it right?

That is correct. Just upgrade the bushings if you'd like to stiffen up body roll a bit more. I did that when I put the AGX's in. Very easy to change them, the old ones were all squashed anyhow. The larger bushings that hold the bar in place are pretty solid, I left my stock ones on, but the end link bushings take a beating. Just changing them yield good results.

WOW slow down, to many questions, some of which I already answered in my above posts.

Try using the search feature on this board. There is a ton of information on the issues your inquiring about.

i couldnt find anything to do with adjustable upper arms and limited slp differential. my whole suspension is almost complete. i just need to know if there is more stuff i need to order.

I too am new here and am just doing my suspension now. The search brought up this link. I found it really helpful to identify all the necessary bushings, boots, stops, etc.

Good luck.
