Raced a BMW 330Ci on the Highway

Me and my two friends were coming home from Hot Import Nights in Atlantic City and some guy in a beemer starts to ride my bumper so I floor it and he goes on the far left of the highway and I am on the far right. He Floors it first and I start to reel him in, like 1/3 car lenghts a second. As I am about to pass him, he lets off the gas. Later on there is a good straightaway so we line up side by side at about 70-75mph and floor it. We are dead even for about 2 seconds and start to pull away. By 90mph I am almost a full car lenht ahead, with 3 people one was 250lbs and the other 190lbs. I was just a measly 145lbs but still, it's a decent amt of weight. The other dude had Just him and his friend. Anyway, I flash the hazard cuz I already beat his a$$ and let off the gas at about 118mph. I guess he still ****ed that he got his gluteus maximus whipped, he decided to fly by me at like 125 after I signaled the race to be over. I guess these guys in beeeeeeeemers can't handle defeat

Sweet kill man!

I too raced a BMW 330Ci manual (I thought they were all autos) last night. I thought I would get whooped. But our first race was off a rolling start, going about 40mph to about 100mph where we were stopped by a light. I was edging him out there. Then the next was a start off the line where the race was pretty much over in 1st gear. I am disappointed in those cars. I thought they were much faster than ours.

I have a stock 1995 SE 5-spd BTW.

Yea, I looked it up because i thought they were faster than that. According to Road & Track it's got 0-60 6.2 sec and the 1/4 mile in 14.8 sec. I was still impressed that less than $1000 of power mods on a max did so much.

Well all the mods to make the car faster were just shy of a grand. Apex'i catback, CAI, y-pipe, UR Pulley. Man, it's like i'll never be satisfied modding this car. Next step is either an ecu and spray or possibly a custom turbo..(problem is $$$) If I do go that route, I'd like to make a kit for it with intructions for other max's. We'll see if I can come up with like 10 grand for R&D

sounds good... i'm probly going down your path as far as the CAI and y-pipe and i'm saving my pennies... only problem is its ***kin expensive in london... everything costs the same in pounds as nyc but a pound is 1.48 dollars...

i'll be interested if that turbo project works out for you...

Good job. I played around with a 330i when I was heading to school. We didn't really get a chance to race, but I was right on his tails when I had to turn. So I'm probably even with a 330i, so I believe you guys since you guys are 5spd. I'm an auto.
