The belts I got are made by DAYCO they are the heavy duty type, are these any good or should I go ahead and buy

This is a matter of opinion, and others may disagree. Dayco belts are okay, Gates are better. Go ahead and use the Daycos but don't be too surprised if they don't last as long as the OEM belts did.

Any manufacturer can call his product "heavy duty". Unfortunately it has become a meaningless term. You may notice superlatives which go beyond "heavy duty". I've seen "extra duty", "super duty", and "ultra duty". Equally meaningless.
