i30 Vs 95max Acceleration difference

I drove my pops 97 i30 this weekend to Chuck town SC and notices that it the acceleration was very different from my 95SE, i30 being slower out the gate. Both cars are stock and the i30 has 80,000 miles and my 95 has 112,000 miles on it. I would think that the Luxury model would perform better but it did not. Has anyone else experienced this? or knows why it varied?

Yeha the 95 maxima had less weight than your "LUXURY MODEL". The I-30 is pretty hefty.

Also the 95 maxima's had different emmions restrictions...so that could have alot to do with it.

also a tune up might be in order

yeah - the infiniti has a whole buncha sound deadening material all over it, which contributes to its weight
