Difficult starting in hot weather.

I have had difficulty with starting in hot weather when the car has been running for a while. I have to push the accelerator to the floor to start. (Like the old flooded carb days). This has happened for the past couple of summers but the engine service light also came on recently. The mechanic said the code pointed to a Nox sensor and crank sensor(?). He reset it and claims it is fine. I told him to keep it overnight and try again tomorrow when it is warmed up again. Any thoughts?

The crank sensor will make it hard for your vehicle to start. You're lucky that it still starts. Most people seem to ignore the problem until it's too late and then they're left stranded. Hope it's nothing major.

Yup - Hard starts = crank sensor. There are two of them. Make sure you get the right one.

One is by the lower pully, the other is under the car by the tranny, it looks at the flywheel position.
