Anyone have a pic of what the front Sway bar endlink looks like?

I don't have a pic but there is a good one in the Haynes manual on page 10-7, figure 6.2b.
This really is a simple thing to do. Its not worthy of all the grief you are putting yourself through. If you will only be changing the endlink bushings its like a twenty minute job but both sides need to be done at the same time. All you need to do is take the top nut off on both sides, remove the old upper bushings. Pivot the stabilizer bar upward a little to get to the lower buhings and replace them. Push the bar back down to seat the new lower bushing and install the new upper bushing and nut. You will need to go back and forth quite a few times but thats the hardest part.
The bushings are about 1 1/4" in diameter and about 3/4" thick so don't let them intimidate you, they're small.
