LED readout on radio

The LED (I guess that's what it's called?) radio readout on our '95 is all messed up. Actually, the thing shows all 8's (8888), and you can't tell what station it's on, or whatever. My son's '96 has the same problem. I did a search here and found nothing relevant. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

Thanks, John

Wow... on both maximas?? Well, what kind of stereo do u have.. Bose or stock? doesn't sound like an LED problem... perhaps the programming in the head unit screwed up. look for a RESET button... i'm not sure if there's one on stock/bose stereos.. i know aftermarket ones do. if all else fails, disconnect battery then reconnect and see if that helps any. good luck

Nadir:

These are both stock units. I'll go look and see if they have a reset, although I don't think so. Will also try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

Thanks, I'll let you know if I have any success. Any electronic experts out there????

John
