OKAY!!! i know this is the second forum i posted in, but there are more 4th gen's that may know in this forum.

I can't get the hood to latch into the stock latch, I have moved the latch up about .25" and also down .25" and neither way makes the hood latch into place..

I only have 2 allen bolts (one on each side of the hood) because someone lost them prior to selling me the hood, but i dont think that is it, but i dont know.. and i am trying to find some that will fit in from home depot or a hardware store.

can anyone help me out??

the hood can latch without the hinges attached, just laying on the car, but as soon as i bolt the bolt on each side to each hinge it doesnt latch.

i have hood pins in to keep it on, but i want the actual latch to hold the hood..

the latch doesnt work at all? hmmm I know with my FI hood the safety latch doesnt work... POS

who made the hood? was it on a Maxima before?

compare that hood to your stock hood look at the latch make sure the latch is a Maxima latch haha mine has a civic latch

try to get the allan key bolts because if the hood isnt properly aligned then it wont fit on the latch properly....

get the rest of the bolts and line it up... it should fit otherwise you have retarded hood

 

it's a fiberimages hood and was on a maxima previous to mine. it's the same latch and all.

i am going to home depot to try and get the bolts today or bolts like them..

i really dont want to drive around with just hood pins and 4 bolts holding this thing on.

 

hehe I know the feeling... my FI hood is in the garage I think its just the body panel alignment I had that problem before with my trunk
