I use Mobil Tri-synth 10-30w with an OEM filter. The oil had 4500 miles on it, the filter was new and no oil was added between changes. The oil was five months old for this test.

I drive four trips at 1 1/2 miles each 5 days a week. The rest of the mileage I put on is 80% highway and 20% city.

The engine had 68,000 miles on it at the time of the test and I do not know of anything to be wrong. Basically, it runs great.

The report generally states that all wear is at or below the average for this type of engine. The TBN at 6.5 is in their words strong, meaning very good. They went on to say, "suggest running 6,000 miles next sample".

Hopefully, this will help someone decide.
Thanks for the post. I drive the same distance to work as you, use Mobil 1 5W-30 and most of my driving that is not to work is freeway. My engine is at surprise 68,9xxx. I don't use the Nissan filter, but instead a Mobil 1 filter and I go 5,000 between changes. I haven't done an Oil analysis yet but was thinking of doing one. Now I don't really feel the need as much. I have no reason to believe my results would vary significantly from yours. Thanks again!

However your location, driving habits, vehicle history, etc. CAN have an adverse effect on how your results will be. I would encourage you to take an analysis and, of course, you would then be required to share them so that they can be in the Oil spreadsheet.
