Was I sent the wrong Stillen Intake?

I just got a Stillen intake for my '97. I looked at this web page...

http://www.greghome.com/Greg's%20Garage/1999%20Nissan%20Maxima%20SE/Stillen%20High-Flow.htm

and the directions posted there are different from what I have in my box. My intake has a hole in the filter part, and the directions tell me to put the ambient air temp sensor into it. But the directions at the website states that the 97 doesn't have that sensor. Anyone know what is going on? Should I just install it and plug the hole with tape?

I believe there are two different types of stillen intake, since I believe some years have sensors and some dont?

:o)

Every year has an air intake temp. sensor, there are just two different styles. '95/'96 have a screw-in flange type, '97/'99 have a push-in.

I have a '97 Maxima and my Stillen Intake has the hole you are talking about. Let me know if you have any questions about install. It's pretty straight forward. The ATS is located in the "snorkel". The hardest part of the install is extending the wire to plug the ATS in, but even that is easy.

Hope this helps,

Actually, the CAI is different from the Stillen Intake. The Stillen Intake is just a K&N filter. The CAI is the one where you have to drill the hole in the fender.

Here's a picture of my Stillen Intake...
