The Australian factory owners manual has two different maximum towing weights listed for the M/T cars. One is listed as for cars with 'base M/T' and another higher weight rating for cars fitted with the 'upgrade M/T'. The automatics only have the one recommended towing weight.

Do any of you guys have a 5/Speed and factory H/D towing package and know what the differences between the trans are?

 

There is only one M/T setup in the US. We dont have a heavy duty version.
