pics of red-out and mesh grille!!

Well, since no one cares about my previous post, i'll just get to the good stuff... pics of my red-out mod and my grill (which i think i'll take off cuz it looks too cheezy on my car for some reason).

MESH GRILLE MOD:
mesh grille/silver paint = $7

RED-OUT AMBER MOD:
red vinyl = $3

total spent... 10 bucks =) Red-out took forever.. i wanna do it over again w/ a heatgun instead of hairdryer. what u guys think?

FOREVER lol. Well, its very hard to do the ambers because putting the vinyl tape is pretty easy... but u gotta stretch it out (use heatgun to melt and stretch) so taht bubbles don't appear. its basically doing a tint job on ure corners... same process ppl use to tint windows. Since i didn't have a heatgun and a blowdryer... it took longer and alot more effort.. and i'm still kinda not satisfied because the edges have a little bit of bubbling and i want it perfect. Since its 3 bucks, i think i can spare another 3 and get another sheet and redo the project usin proper tools. This is just so that i don't have to look at the amber color becaue 3 colors on a tail irritates the crap outta me... just another one of my weird pet peeves along w/ power windows that wind up slowly, but not a prob w/ the max =)

Both mods look great. The grill might look even better if you do the top sections.

simple

1. go to home depot or some house hardware store and buy Gutter Mesh/Gaurd
2. Measure out the open spaces on the grill where u wanna put the grill.
3. cut it out so it fits perfect
4 slap it on there
5. use lead wire or what i did.... take long twisty-ties and strip em so that u can see the metal wire only and tie that to the grill and pull it hard so the grill doesnt move and tie it somewhere behind the fender.

Why dont you "red out" the whole tail light assembly, it would look candied out

the grill mod, looks really nice!! Dont do the top part, because it would look funky

howd you mount the mesh to the upper valence??? i did a quick job on my lower last weekend and it actually looks good. i dont have the factory fogs and i think the mesh looks a lot better with them.
