About the Frankencar Intake......

This might sound kind of silly, but i saw two different types of intakes on the frankencar website that were attached to a 96, 97 max. Can someone, who either has one or knows anything about it, tell me why they look different. ONe looks like a regular POP charger intake and the other looks like the one i've heard so much about on the other threads. I saw a picture of he one i saw on their website on an old thread. I'm also interested in how loud they sound as well as their durability. Are they foam or what? Thanks for the help.

jwt or k&n foam filter.....?

What would go better with a frankencar midpipe, a jwt filter or a k&n foam filter. What are the gains and drawbacks between the two other than the bad things i've heard about foam filters on intakes.

they are both the same intake setup, one is just unpainted prototype and other is black. we have k/n fitlers and foam monsterflow ones too. gains are bgetter then any standard pop setup.

Of the two, which one yields the better results in terms of performance? And which one would you recommend if the car is being used as a daily driver?

iin back to back dynoes the kn was like .5 hp and the monster was .7tq more then the other. nothing to worry about at all. it's all your preference.

the midpipe is just the midpipe and couplers, if you want a full intake setup with a K/N style CONE filter and the maf adapter you would need to get teh full intake for 125. let me know if all you want is the midpipe and no fitler or MAF Adapter taht you need to complete the intake setup.

Hey DmB, hows business? Thanks for the quick responce regarding shipping. I know that its hard with all the orders you must be recieving. I thought I ordered my intake before the big wave hit, but looks things took off quicker than expected....but hey, thats what you get for making a quality product for the "after market" depraved Max! Serves you right

Does the 125 account for the midpipe as well, or is that completly separate, because i ordered mine yesterday and i don't want to have two separte midpipes. Thanks for the input fellas.

You will get everything you need. When you drive your car with it installed, you'll feel more than you would've expected. The intake rocks!!!!
