raced a lightning

dang thoes trucks are hella fast well i was driving in the maxima and the truck gave me a lead about a car length and still the truck won by a lot

Dont these trucks run like 13.3 stock...Thats teh 2001-02 model though. I remeber one beating a corvette at the track. It wasnt a z06 though. So get a 50 shot and about 12psi of turbo boost.. and go try again.

yea the second generation lightnings are crazy fast .. if you ever see a first gen .. which is rare though I had a chance to buy one .. smoke it cause they're pretty weak.

Yes, they are S/Ced.

The 00-02 are good for low 13's. This can go the same for 99's as well.

Just a FYI: The first gen Lightning is currently the fastest Lightning up to date.

No it isn't. Those things had an NA 5.0 liter V8. Nothing special.

Yes, they came NA but S/C's are put on them obviously to make them faster. Nothing mods can't fix.

They have hit 9's unlike the current setup which is stuck at 10's.

You cant compare modded to modded. The only limit to speed is money...

My girlfriend has a 99 Lightning. She went 13.5 @ 103 stock.

The world's quickest lightning is Jason Brown's turbo 1st gen. He runs 7s.

One of my buddies just got a 92 Typhoon. That sucker is pretty quick. Hasn't taken it to the track yet, but I'll be eager to see what it does. Makes me want a turbo... bad.

Those Typhoons are AWD; a turbo won't catch you up because all he has to do is rev and dump the clutch and he's GONE; you got that weight transfer to worry about.
