Apex muffler and silencer

I've heard about the Apex muffler and a silencer that can be inserted to quiet it down - how quiet is the muffler with silencer, as opposed to without it?

I have a apexi n1 w/o a silencer, and the muffler is not loud at all. Some times I think it's too quiet, and I have removed the resonator too.

Im sure that will change as soon as you put your y-pipe in. Y-pipe makes everything much louder.

Is the rest of your exhaust system stock, or did you modify anything else? Mine is completely stock now, I'm talking about just the muffler.

I have 2.5" piping running from behind the cat, all the way to the A'pexi N1 muffler. No resonator no silencer, no nothing. An the exhaust has no dronage of any kind at crusing speeds.

I'm surprised that your Apex-i N1 muffler is quiet, I was told that it was one of the loudest mufflers out there, or am I mistaking it with the Apex-i Dunk muffler?

try a 3" apexi n1 w/o silencer, no resonator, no cat, with a y-pipe.

Actually I'm thinking of getting one of those big N1 mufflers. Or run a dual exhaust set up with the one I have in now.
