MAxima is a Maxima I30 Is a I30 and the I30 are way slower cause of all the bonus bull$hit. Like i said holla at Honda little man.
And to you why are you even on this sight you have a slow a$$ I30 holla at the hondas
H.N.I.C.95 wrote
I must have really hurt your feelings. I know for a fact that the I30(Buick) My step father has a 97 awful take of compare to the Maxima therefore it is a different car. Do a search I did a post on this before. Oh, and as far as juiced intergra's never saw one with M5 capabilities and we did not race. Sorry I hurt your feelings though

Like I sad before did not know i was hurting your feelings. Seems like you have a lot of built up anger inside. Where you abused as child? I was refering to your I30 being a buick and also stating that my step father has an I30 so I have first hand experience with them and know for a fact that they are slow. Yes I do have 200 post cause how many am i supposed to have. I have wasted enough time on you, sorry.

Can someone please get it into this guys thick skull that the i30 and the maxima are virtually the same car? He seems to think that 95 Maxima is so much faster than he "buick" like i30. His stepfather has one, so he knows for a "fact" that they are slow.

Someone please tell him that the differences are only cosmetic, and performance wise they are almost identical. If anything, the VLSD in the i30 5spd makes it faster (no wheelspin).

Not vs a canadian maxima

Maybe he thinks that because its an infiniti, its "Luxury", and therefore more fancy gadgets, etc to equal extra weight

Remember this is the internet... people will always be stupid, you cant fix it.

Maxima and I30 are about 90% the same car. The drivetrain is 100% the same (except that a VLSD isnt available in US Max's)

And if you don't believe me, believe the National Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. They only crash test the Maxima because it is so similar to the I30 and post the same results for both cars.

That is probably what he thinks, but he would be wrong!

wow...uhm. They are virtually the same car; the leather may weigh a little more, but I don't believe anything differed, aside from the optional LSD for the I30....

It's just an internet forum, man. Regardless of the posts that brought this up, if you're going to try to 'pound things into thick skulls' on forums, you'd better get to enjoy having a full-time job with the average income of a volunteer. Sure, argumentative discussions are half the point on boards like this, but if you find you can't reasonably discuss a point with others due to how they respond, I think it's time to move on to another discussion.

Believe me, I feel your pain all too well (moreso in dealing with people in everyday life than on forums), but that's the only medicine that really works well.

This is sort of a montage, the guy is an ignorant clown. We definately have another 95emeraldGXE on our hands, the guy has NO clue what he is talking about, posts in everybody's threads, and has posted over two hundred times since he joined three weeks ago. Then hollars at a guy for being a newbie!

He is a major postwhore! Take a look at his profile and look at his recent posts!

Actually i30's are a couple tenths slower then Maxima's do to the added weight. I know mag times aren't always right but everytime they get the i30 to 60 slower then the Maxima. For instance, the 1995 Maxima got tested 0-60 in 7.3-7.6| 1/4th: 15.6-15.9 while the i30 in 7.8 |1/4th 16. I can't remember if this was R&T or C&D.

For the most part I think the i30's are just a little more sluggish off the line do to the added weight. Engines/drivetrains are identical. The difference is minimal and it's not a big enough issue to discuss this heavily.

I think the i30t may weigh about 150lbs more, due to longer overhangs on the front and rear, and sound deadening material.

You can bet your bottom dollar though that a 96 5spd i30 with cloth interior, no sunroof, 15" wheels, and VLSD will run right any other stock 4th gen.

You can't find any stock times, done by mags or reviews, for a 5-speed I30. Trust me I have looked. Those times quoted earlier in this post were for automatics not 5-speeds. I agree, the vsld on my car would make up the extra weight in traction.

I've heard of the sound proofing, but what are longer overhangs? I think my rear head rests and adjustable front head rests add about 5lbs too

The i30 is longer than the maxima, from the front of the front wheel well to the front of the bumper, and the rear of the rear wheel well to edge of the rear bumper. WOW, did that make sense to anyone??

Yes, but the electric fuel door release and the perforated leather seats save weight...

...but the one-piece rear floor mat and the chrome door handles add weight...

Oh well that explains EVERYTHING! You THINK that the Maxima is quicker than the i30 so it is a different car....well NEWS FLASH! A bare bones GXE auto is quicker (marginaly at that) than a fully loaded SE because of all that "bonus bullshi**" that you talked about in an earlier post, so I guess they ARE NOT the same car either huh?

What really explains the bad grammar on your part is that you are from SC (must be a redneck) and I think you are probably 16-17 years old.

I never bash anyone unless they are being an idiot, nor have I EVER bashed a moderator. I have, however, expressed my opinion to them about policies that I thought were not very fair.

Dude, you are twenty two years old, and a college student I presume. Why is your grammer so poor? Smokin the wacky weed too much? If not, you should be able to construct sentences alittle better.

I live in Idaho, I am a CPA (know what that is?). I am not from Idaho. I was born near Cincinatti Ohio, and have lived in Sau Paulo, Brazil (19 million people), Manila, Phillipines (12 million people), Buenos Aires, Argentina (14 million people), Toronto, Canada (5 million people), Phoenix, AZ (2 million people), and Salt Lake City, UT (1 million people), and now have chosen to live in Idaho where I can make a fat salary, have big new house, drive nice cars, and have a boat, rv, and 3 4wheelers, all with no debt except for the house.

Idaho is awesome by the way, I live just 1 hour from Jackson, and 20 minutes from recreational paradise. Been in the hustle and bustle, and really dig the tranquilo lifestyle here.

Do you agree yet that there is very little difference between the i30 and the Maxima? Remember, it is okay to be wrong sometimes~!

Hey now, don't go knockin the wacky If anything, it makes for long-winded sentences/discussion that end up trailing way off topic into some meaningless philosophical drivvel. Just look at my posts

It's pointless and nothing but flames.

And the I30 and the Maxima share the same innards with mostly cosmetic differences. They are for all intents and purposes, the same car.
