i have a pair of philips 5000k d2r/d2s. now these bubls can fit a d2r/d2s because i added a notch so it can fit a d2r ballast. the 5000k are not stock in oem cars with hids. stock hids burn at 4300k which produces a yellow/ white. how old are the bulbs? because after a while, the color shifts as salt builds up. also, you're saying that you added a notch to the oem bulb? do they fit oem ballasts?

 

i had them for one week. and the bulb will fit the ballast. see these bulbs are d2s but i added a notch so it can fit my reflector type of headlight.

 

so my stock hids are only 4300K? honestly how much different/brighter will they look than my stock ones.
