Unfortunately my car died today Though this was expected as I recently posted a 'Engine Knock' thread, but didnt expect it happen that soon. From what I understand, my piston bearing or rod bearing went, the car was knocking at first and today is sounded as if the piston came loose or something and started scratching the cylinder. Anyway, I'm out in NYC and looking for 2 things: someone with an engine for sale-2002/03 or compatible (4th of VIN is D, I believe) and someone with knowledge and equipment to do the swap (I figure some people on here know more about maximas then an average mechanic). edit: I found one on car-part for $600 with only 26,913 miles. Its from a 02 altima but should still work. To me I think it would be easier to swap it out then try to rebuild

I, for some reason, cant find TJMaxx. there are only tjmaxx98 but he is not the one...

 

If anyone knows how to get in touch with tjmaxx, please let me know, I searched the name, and browsed through members and dont see him. I heard he can help me with engine probs.
I also checked nycmaximas.org, nothing. I found vipervadim but no luck with tj

yeah dude, i know... I just found out about an hour ago. My luck, my engine could've died a month ago. Would love to see this guy work, everyone speaks extremely high of him. No answer from vipervadim as of yet. Your post was very helpful, as it brought me up to date a bit.
