Best Springs for 00 SE

Looking to drop the front about 1" and the back about .5", the reason I am looking to get springs is because i got 245-45-18 in the back and when i go over bumps they rub. I heard it is because my shocks or springs suck so i figured get some new ones. Also looking for a more aggressive look, I hear Tein H and Eibach would be the best bet for the drop I am looking for but i wanted to get more input. I also want ride comfort too, so tell me what you think.

Thanks

Wrong section...but as far as "best" is concerned, its up to you...what maybe the best setup for you will not always be what works best for other people

Wait a minute it rubs on stock height so you want to lower it?

tein h tech and eibachs are a rather aggressive drop i think, not a "mild" drop
but its your sturts that are like blown (too soft) consider redoing both things not just springs on your busted struts.

Confused - why are either "aggressive?" I would consider H Tech (F 1.6/R 1.0) and Eibachs (F 1.3/R 1.0) a slight/mild drop. Eibach is the mildest drop I've seen...anything less should be obtainable through coil compression blocks. Maybe you're thinking about S Techs being more aggressive at F 2.2/R 1.6?

+1

Eibach and H&R are slight drops, H-Tech and Progress are mild, S-Techs are aggressive IMO

Someone told me it rubs because of poor performance with the stock shocks or springs. I am going to have someone look at it before i order springs, i also heard i might just be able to do something to the wheel well

^^^ No don't do anything to the wheel well, and you have to locate where its rubbing it might just be that you have worn out struts.

Lowering springs WILL lower the car. It's more than likely your struts that are bad.

thanks fellas for straitening out my confusion about the drops...i WAS thinking tein S
on a side note, i am not happy with my vogtlands..1.4 all around drop. my ideal setup would be around 1.5 F 1.0 rear.
