Go with H-Techs or Eibachs, H&Rs are soft and virtually stock height wise.

which one do you think rides the smoothest?

 

I can't tell you how much research I've done and how many threads I've read about springs for our cars. From all that I've read it seems to be pick your poison.

H&R gives a smaller and even drop so it doesn't take care of the gap in the front. They do ride the best out of the three for a daily driver.

Eibach give a better drop than the H&Rs and handle better but the ride is harsher.

H-Techs are soft in the front and even though they give a nice drop they don't give you the handling that Eibachs do.

If the roads around where you live aren't the greatest the H&Rs seem to be the most popular. Eibachs are the best for performance between the three and H-Techs aren't really great when it comes to comfort or handling.

I don't want my front bottoming out so I stayed away from H-Techs, I can't stand the stock stance and the front gap we have so I stayed away from H&Rs. If I had to choose between the three I'd probably go with the Eibachs for the best performance and a decent drop and deal with the harsher ride.

That's my 2 cents, I hope it helps. I have no experience with any of them though. Do like I did and read through the suspension section of the forums and check out the most recent posts in the sticky/info/poll threads.

 

I have been wondering the same thing since I am looking to go with a mild drop to eliminate the front gap. What do you mean when you say "the ride is harsher"

 

The springs are stiffer hence you feel more of the road, they dont absorb the impact as well as softer springs.

 

if your planning on running eibach on your stock struts stay away, you will have plenty of back pain lol (learned my lesson).

But Ive heard illumina struts with eibachs are great setup.

 

Very descriptive i couldnt have said it better from what i've read..i think these 3 springs are the "least harshest" out of the springs available ...our 5th gen is a DD so i think H&R's would be best...it already rides pretty harsh with 18'z..

from what i've read it seems like people have been happy with h-techs...im probably gonna end up buying a new set but i figured id post this while i do some more research, maybe i could save a few bucks

 

I installed H & R's in the front only. It brought the front end down about 1/4" lower than the rear, and the ride is smooth. I have the OEM SE springs out back. I still have the rears in the box if you want them to mix with a different brand/stance for the front. Like running Maxspeed front, H&R rear.

I have an eibach pro kit I'll let it go for $200 shipped to your door let me know I never installed it but it only has about 10K on it I was going to install it but its too cold down here in fcukin chicago to even do an oil change. Let me know?

 

200 is to close to the price of a new set might as well spend a few extra bucks and buy brand new..thank you tho... no one has H&R's? i really have my mind set on those
