I am in central VA and I am looking for a pair of 5.5 gen OEM headlights, with all of the HID components. I also need an OEM hood that will fit an 01 maxima. I don't care what color it is, but it must be free of dents or gouges. Please let me know if you can help me out. Thanks.

 

I have everything else besides the headlights and the oem bulbs.
BTW do you need the fan assembly as well?

 

So you only have the hood? Do you have a picture of it? No damage? How much are you looking to get for it? I might need the fans too, but I have not seen the car so I am not sure about the extent of the damage.

 

Sorry for the confusion but I meant to say that I have only the ballasts/igniters from the headlights. The headlights that I have are cracked.
But I also do have the stock fans/shroud which you might need from the looks of the car and the hit.

 

So do you have a hood in good shape? What is the price? Where are you located? Will you be available Sunday, july 10th?

Hey Carson there is 5th gen at the junkyard down here and when I stopped in there the other day it still had the hood on it and I believe it was in pretty good shape.

which yard? I checked CAP and circle stock and they do not show a fifth gen. Where is the yard? Do you know how much they charge for a hood? I'm in the OBX right now but I will be coming though Richmond on Saturday.

do they list inventory online or will they tell you what they have if you call them? Are there prices similar to Chesterfield?

 

I just looked up their website and it doesn't look lie they have it listed. They only tell you if they hav the car in stock. They don't guarantee any parts to be on it for whatever reason. But I was up there monday or tuesday and the entire front end was still on the car. As far as pricing this is what their website says:

What are you calling a middle point? How much are you looking to get for the hood? What kind of condition is it in? Color?

 

Maybe somewhere around Wytheville, or the 77-81 Split? That would be a little over three hours for both of us. The hood is black and in excellent condition, just repainted in September. There is one small rock chip on the front, about an 1/8 of an inch in diameter and not very noticable. Make me an offer, I just ordered a cf hood and I don't want this one taking up space

yeah I did. I need to call them. I want to know which blue it is because in 2001 the only navy blue color was used on the AE, so it may be that light blue color. Thanks for passing the info. along.

yeah I have. No one with in a few hours of me has one that is not damaged or under $200. I may have to end up going that route, but I thought I would put my feelers out here too.

 

what about certifit? I've dealt with the one right in baltimore, but I am not sure how the fitment would be for the hood. I think it was around 100 for a hood. cant hurt to check it out

No, its an auto body parts dealer. check out their website certifit.com and click on the in store catalog. They have a store on western ave. in baltimore.

When I did my 5.5 front conversion thats where I bought my bumper and grill from. They used to display the prices right on the catalog. The hood iirc was around
$90 to $100 just to give you an idea; my bumper only cost 40. So its def worth a shot to give them a call

 

^^^Thanks for that info. Baltimore is 3 hours from me and that's the closest location. I may have to resort to that but I would rather not drive that far just to get a hood.
