I've come to believe that it is the hose that is leaking. Seems like a common problem on a 00-03 Maxima

 

on the 5th gen maximas, it's usually the hose that's leaking. I have seen the cooper gaskets leak as well. Clean the are with brake cleaner and see where the fluid is leaking from.
