Parts/help wanted

Okay, so I want my car to be faster, I don't really know anything about cars, at all. Never really were into them like that. I don't know anything about cams, exhausts, intakes, and all that. Nothing at all. I have an 02 Maxima SE, and I'm wondering what can I do to make it faster, and what parts do I need, and where those parts can be acquired at. So basically, I'm looking for whatever can make my car faster. and if anybody can do the work for me, that'd be cool too.

This is my first car, I get my license tomorrow, the 9th.

You need to search before you just starting throwing things on your car to make it faster. Read up on the numerous threads regarding performance mods, that will teach you a few things, and then go from there.

maintenance before mods. ALWAYS.

Don't matter how fast your damn car is if the thing is oil-starved, for example...

Everyone above is correct.....once you get regular maintenance done get yourself a Injen intake lol ....That's one of the quickest ways to get power

Injen is CRAP for A32 and A33. Youre just paying for piping with their logo on it. Piece your own kit together or browse eGay. Although their intakes come with cheap, flimsy, shiity couplers, its easily remedied by buying a few from your local parts store.

OP, I'm local to you, and I work on Maxima's for local org members.

I also happen to know a thing or two about suspensions

PM me. Let's figure out a game plan for you.

The two biggest, most advantageous ways to make a car perform well:

1) Money
2) Creativity

Get those solidified. Afterward, like other members have mentioned, this will be your definitive source for all information related to your new car. (P.S. excellent choice on model and year).

You will find very intuitive modifications on here that you wouldn't otherwise find from some very intelligent people. You will also find some die-hard modifiers that will verbally decapitate you if you asked them a question like this prior to research, FYI. My best friend here was the advanced search, keyword search within titles, by post members, or have results viewed by posts so that they're more specific and relevant.

In the end, you have a car that can have hundreds put into it and raise eyebrows, or thousands put into it and drop jaws, it's your call. Invest the proper amount of money in effective ways and you'll can have a 12 second 4-door sedan that handles considerably well for a "family-sized" car.

Welcome to the .org. I like to think of this place as a classroom on a roller coaster, where you learn, but have fun doing it. Modifying cars is a wonderful hobby.
