Need a 2000 main catalytic converter for a fed spec. I got a ypipe and found out the main is all messed up. So if any one has an OEM one in good shape that they can sell for $50-75 shipped range that would be great. Called a buddy at the local nissan parts department just for fun and it was $700 retail and he'd sell it to me for $500 but no way i am doing that.

the main cat is not a part of the Y pipe, I'm not sure what you actually need...but you may find some used ones at a pick and pull...?

 

I bought the Ypipe thinking it was clogged precats and when I got it apart the main one was all messed up. So now I need the main one. And junk yards can't sell them.

 

you should be able to get an aftermarket cat as well, s/b much cheaper than OEM...call up a few local exhaust shops and see...
