Installing the amp

Just got a quick question to see what other people have done. I'm putting in my amp kit on my 2k1 and just wanted to know where you guys are punching the hole from the engine compartment to run your power line from the battery. I know on my old camry i there were some holes that came from the factory that were just plugged up ready for this kinda thing. Is there anything of the sort for the Maxima.

Also any tips i should know before taking out all my side panels or its all snap and fit like all cars these days.

Thanks!

There's a diamond-shaped cutout on the firewall under the dash on the driver's side. If you remove the cutout, the firewall is right behind it and I drilled through that. There's nothing on the other side to accidently drill, I'm sure they put it there for that reason. There's other places to run the amp power cable, but no has been exact about it, so I could never locate them.
