mobil one vs amsoil?
I've been a Maxima owner now for 2 months, I have read many a thread regarding both oils . I still have not made a definite decision. Just when a think I have, I look in the yellow pages for someone to change the oil and can you believe no one is listed that will do this . I am not becoming a dealer. I am not changing my own oil so, therefore I guess Valvoline synthetic will win. They are readily available and they get good reviews on their oil. Any comments.

Depending on where you live, you should be able to find somebody who does Mobil 1.. Doubtful you will find a quick lube place that uses Amsoil... You can always buy the oil and filter and have somebody do it for you..
Doing it yourself is pretty easy though...

Are you telling me that you don't have a KMART or Wal-Mart around. KMART only charges me $10 to change the car with Amsoil. Sometimes I take it to the local Dodge dealership and they will also do it for $10. It's the quicky lubes that won't do it.

Go to Sears or any other place that uses Castrol GTX and have your oil changed with that.
Changing your oil isn't that hard. Nissan makes it REAL easy on you. If you can turn your front tires towards the passenger side, you can change your oil.

thats true, but the only pain is the a$$ that i see is getting ride of the used oil, id rather pay some1 to do it then taking the oil and dumping it at some local store like autozone or checker or whatever. i sure dont want to dump in it the storm drain, thats just messed up and wrong.
