my friend told me that his friend took his off on his mustang and it made the engine a lot louder. he looked at my engine and said i had one...sicne the max's engine is pretty quiet, has anyone tried to take this off and does anyone know if this is safe? i'd love some more noise from my engine but i don't want to risk anything (i've already had over $1000 in bills from my intake getting messed up)...let me know because i'd love some more sound

 

If you take out the air box, you will surely have a louder engine. But to get some performance gains and not mess up anything, get an intake. That way it will be louder and give you a few hp gain.
