Kyb Agx Project

I'm in the process of ordering a set of 4th Gen Eibach Prokit from tirerack.com or if i can find cheaper, then i will use them with Cattman's KYB modded AGX . I will let yall know how it comes out and hopefully i will get pics of it before and after install. Thanks to the people who used 4th Gen springs and 4th Gen shocks/struts, especially ru4real, who had given me some input . He has i think 4th gen AGX with 4th Gen Progress springs. I love the AGX and i know i have to make it work for me..

i don't this it differs much. the AGX is stiff enough to handle it. you can ask this same question to ru4real. he has 4th gen progress and 4th gen AGX

sorry the links not working man. cut and paste didn't work

try copy link location or copy short cut and paste onto a new browser...the ones u see up there are shortened.

so the rear AGX is too small for the 5h gen spring?

no the other way around. the 5th gen springs will not or may fit tight and getting it on is hard , unless you compress it onto the shock seat.cattman had said that the weight of the car will push it down, which i found out not to be TRUE. 4th gen eibach will fit perfect.

just wondering...are the perches of the rear agx shocks detachable? koni are detachable, bc they are height adjustable. so that gives me two options....the go with up side down "U" (just like the AGX rear shocks) or to go with the cup shape. eibach fits the latter way but not the upside down U.

I see another one bits the dust. I think it is a good thing you are not going to run with that setup anymore. I switched this weekend to GR2 and all is well. You should have seen what the spring looked like on the AGX - it was all contorted and sitting very awkward on the perch.

I would not run any 5th Gen spring on a 4th Gen AGX - just not meant to be. IMHO

I have thought about running the setup you are talking about. The only thing that I am afraid is if the springs are rated differently. Remember, our 5th Gen's are little more chubby than the 4th Gen. I would call Eibach and find out for sure - they would know.

Are you planning on running all 4th Gen springs, or just the rear?

4th Gen all the way . Another reason is that if i used the 5th Gen front Eibachs with the 4th GEN AGX, then i get wheel alignment probs. I did that b4, so now i wanna do 4th Gen all the way round . ru4real and some other people riding 4th Gen springs too..

Cool - I would just call Eibach and see what the spring rates are and if they forsee any issues. Small price to pay for a piece of mind.

I KNEW someone was talking about me!
dmbmaxima2k2 has the same suspension setup as me (he did his earlier), and there must be other 5th gen owners with Progress or H&R on AGX out there.
