Cali spec

Apparently all 2k1 - 2k2 max's are cali spec. what is the easiest way to check if your 2k is?

Mint green colored plugs in front of your engine. I think....... I have Cali and I have mint green plugs.

i believe there will be four plugs right in front of the engine block, near the front of the car when you pop the hood if it is cali spec

I do in fact have 4 mint green plugs. Can anyone else confirm that this denotes wether or not the car is cali spec?

That is it....not really the color, but the fact that there are four plugs. The Fed-spec's will only have two plugs.

that is one way to tell, also check the sticker under the hood if it says 50 state emmisions on the sticker its cali spec

Yes, this is correct. Per Nissan head corp., every 2K1 is a fed spec (and possibly the 2k2s as well-I didn't ask). The way to tell is the 4 plugs on the front of the engine. You've GOT 1!

thanks

i was asking everywhere and nobody had info on the difference between cali=spec and fed spec. i knew it was the plugs in the front, but now i can be sure.
