A few days ago there was a thread trying to pinpoint where the 350Z got a extra 32 horses out of the same VQ35.

emax95 said that the 2K/2K1 Intake Manifold would fit and theorized it would possibly provide a stronger top end for the 2K2.

Playing devil's advocate, the 2k2 intake manifold would also fit 2K/2K1's, would it improve the bottom end of the 2K/2K1?

This has also been discussed. It may fit but only with the lower intake to go with it. The problem with that is the injectors arent going to fit. Nissan now uses a new style of injectors that are much lower profile and use much smaller gaskets. The 2k2 lower intake probably can't house your injectors.

 

Another thing to look for is to make sure the 2000 maxima throttle body can fit on to the 2002's manifold. I say this becuase the 2002 uses a drive by wire TB and while the 2000 uses a Throttle cable.

 

I don't know exactly what I'm talking about but would it be possible to change the 2k2 injectors along with the intake manifold?

 

then u'd have to reprogram ECU .. to me, its easier said than done and more trouble than its worth
