50k mile service

Left my car at Nissan for 50k mile service. They called me a told me that I need
new spark plags ($275)
new fuel filter ($65)
Injectors Cleaned ($109.85)
Carbon clean up ($119)
break fluid flush ($124.95)
Oil Flush ($124.95)
Also I hear some rubbing noise coming out of my stearing wheel. They told we it's a wires rubbing to the column and it would cost me over $500. Nissan says that warranty doesn't cover that, even though, I have 70,000 mile PLUS program. they say warranty doesn't cover lubrication. but I don't understand what does it do with lubrication. I think they are trying to screw me.

Well it's certainly not $275.00 freakin' dollars! Unless of course you are driving one of the new 21 cylinder Maximas.

NGK platinum plugs are $12.69 at napaonline.com. That's about $80 in plugs. If you find the need to pay someone $195 to change your plugs, either.

A. You have WAY too much money.

B. You have no business anywhere near a car.

Damn. $275.00? Sheesh.

Just for kicks, I'm going to call my dealer and get prices on this stuff.

Just checked w/ my local dealer....

They told me $150.00 for the plugs. Sure, it's a beating, but not as bad as the $275.00 a$$ pounding they are trying to hand you.

They also told me that the 60,000 mile maintenace would be $430.00. That includes the plugs, alignment, and all the other stuff.

What a bunch of bull. The fuel filter is in the gas tank. 100k is when to check. Bleeding brakes for $124.95? A rip. A new front brake job with premium pads and bleeding the system should cost $150.00 at the dealer. Oil flush for $124.95, try Amsoil Engine Flush prep for $7.00. Carbon cleanup, try Techron or Redline fuel system cleaner for $6.00.

Re: 50k mile service

I just got back from the dealer. These guys are bunch of clowns. I told then not to do anything. When I went there I asked the Service Manager why is changing plugs $275. He says that they have to take a FSTB off and it would be 3.5 hour job. I told them to pay me $100 and I'll take it off from every car which will come in for service. what a joke. When I said that I was going to do it my self guy looked at me funny and said that it's very hard and he doubted I could do it.
I asked him what kind of carbon build up does the car have. He said that Maximas get carbon buildup on TB. I knew he they didn't even look at it because I cleaned it 2 weeks ago.
I had my break done 7 month ago and had the brake shop change brake fluid to Blue liquid which I got from eatrise.com.
Then, I asked for a mechanic who worked on the car. I asked him if I needed to do the injector clean up. Because, I regularly use injector cleaner when I fill up. He was looking behind checking in the service manager was looking. He turns to me and says that Maxims have problems with dirty injector and he never check mine and since I use in tank cleaners I should not have any problems. He also confirmed my doubts that they didn't check the TB and since I was wearing a suit and tie they assumed I never even looked upper the hood and was going to throw money away.

Here a question. I hear rubbing noise in the steering wheel. Dealer says that wire housing in the column is rubbing and needs to be changed. But it costs over $500 and it's not covered by my warranty. Mechanic says it not gonna cause any damage, but it's annoying.
Did anyone have a similar problem? If yes, did you get it fixed? How? if by dealer, was it covered by warranty?
