autocrossers and club racers fit the smallest rim that'll fit on the car.
what about a Maxima with altezzas and a park bench on it's trunklid? God knows there's plenty on the 4g and 5g forums.
I agree to a point. Some minor mods (mainly clear corners, bumper lens) are just to clean up the car, but, some mods are just god awful. LED license plate? comeon now. hyper blinkers? 2002 Max's taillamps are hideous and i find lots of people with 00-01's putting those haneous lamps on their cars....that's ricey.

hmmm i got the hyperblinker for 15 bucks on e-bay.....IMO it helps when your swtiching lanes at 90mph...it blinks like 2-3 by the time your in the lane..if you have your stock blinker..it blinks once. I do give sufficent room between cars when I switch lanes, so I try my best to be safe!.

A person who likes crazy body kits, big spoilers, goofy neons... is flaming someone for wanting to add hyper-blinkers to their car.
THAT'S the problem. People who mod their cars with crazy body kits and the like... by all means, do what ya like with your money. BUT, once you start flaming others for doing the same thing...

I think that rice also involves the attitude and personality of the owner of the car. Ricers tend to have an attitude that they are driving this sweet car, when really IT'S STILL A HONDA CIVIC. I think that's why we love lighting them up, because we get to put them in their place. Yeah I sound like an a$$hole right now, but you all know it's true.
Also, there are 2 classes of cosmetic mods. "Pimpin" mods and "Rice" mods. People that do pimpin mods know their cars very well and take care of them, have a good taste, and don't try to make their car look faster than it is. A maxima is a nice car, and there is nothing wrong with giving it a little individuality. The ricers on the other hand, usually are driving POS civics and eclipses and what not, and their cars just plain suck. There are a million of them on the road, and they're also trying to add some individuality to their cars, but we all know they're still driving a POS. And basically what it comes down to is whether or not a car can back it's $heeaatt up. I'll never call a TT Supra rice, even if it looks like the one in Fast and the Furious, because it'll blow the doors off my car.

I don't think it matters what you drive... you can make it ricey. A McLaren F1 with underbody neons is ricey (and really poor taste). a GT3 with hyper-blinkers, ricey. A 355 with a LED exhaust tipe... ricey.

Good point, but, people in vipers, porsches and what not, call folk in "hopped up" maximas ricers too... do they have the right?
