seat warmer problem

I did a search and haven't seen this issue yet. I recently had my car in for the 6sp clutch disc replacement. I noticed that the driver's seat now gets very warm. At first I thought it might be me hallucinating but now I'm pretty sure its the seat. The reason I say this is I can feel the heat coming from the seat rather than from me. I turned on the seat heater and I didn't notice any major change. There may be a thermostat though that prevents the seat from getting beyond a certain termperature.

The electrical diagram for the seat warmer indicates that its possible for the indicator lights to function independently of the actual heat current. Anyone seen this before or have a way to verify the problem? Thanks.
