Anyone with Injen Cold Air
Anyone with Injen Cold Air
I was just looking at Injen's web site (www.injen.com) and I really like their CAI design for the 2K2 Maxima a lot. It is the exact design I had in my head, when I was thinking, "why doesn't anyone make a CAI like <blah blah blah>?" ... and there it is - exactly they way I would have done it.
My question is - does anyone here have opinions on the Injen, in terms of quality, fit, finish, noise levels, etc.? It sure looks nice from their pictures but I would like to see more of what the filter side looks like and how it sits. It's hard to tell from Injen's pics. $250 is pretty expensive, but I guess they needed a lot of piping - what a great way to do a CAI though. No cutting up the car, and they put the filter element far far away from the heat.

Even though I say this, I'm going to be hypocritical and say, I'd get the Injen intake. heheh
Ive driven 2 cars with it. Check out Maximadave . His homepage has lots of pictures of it. I drove his car. It is considerably quieter than the Frankencar . Thats a positive for some, but not for me. I like the ROAR that the 2K2 produces with it. The Injen is quieter. I really dont feel a gain over the other choices, but we really wont know till someone dynos them, on the same car. It loks real nice. If you must have a CAI, it's the way to go for sure.

Yup, I'm pretty sure not many people want to drill a 3 inch hole into their car. Do you guys think the PR CAI is getting colder though?

My concerns is what I have seen with my brothers 2k Celica. There are like 3 designs from Injen . They came out one after another after another. I'd hate to buy one and then have them change them 6 months later. Just my .02
I had the Frankencar first and it was nice. Very loud growl but looks wasn't up to par for me. MichaelAE here on the .orgy recommended this CAI for the 2K2's. I've always wanted a CAI and didn't want to do any cutting. I love the looks and performance of my Injen. Look at my hompage for pics
well
i have an injen CAI...easy to install...looks amazing...peeps love it....ive the had k&n panel filter then stillen intake.....the injen has a different sound....more racier.....the injen pulls a tad bit more in my opinion....the injen is also louder than my greddy at WOT..believe it or not......but get the injen....looks sound and performance caouldn't cost better....order from adventon like i and many others did...good luck
