Help: I hear a snapping noise when I apply my brakes
Hey, ever since I had my transverse link recall done I have been hearing a snap(it just snaps once) when I hit the brakes. It started out only happening when I came to a complete stop and even then it only happens on occasion. About a week ago the snap noise has been getting much much worse and it's becoming very annoying. I also here the snap noise once in a while when I go over big bumps. When it snaps I can actually feel the car vibrate and the brake pedal has a little thump to it.
What I was wondering is has anyone else experienced a simaler problem to this? I am about 99% sure it has something to do with my transverse link. Hmm, any solutions or thoughts on this problem? I may just drop the car off at the dealers but I would much rather fix the problem my self.

Sounds like they didn't re-assemble everything correctly. If it doesn't thump when you hit the gas then it's not in the drive train. You need to have someone out side the car looking at exactly where it's coming from.

It only makes the snaping noise when I am actualy slowing down, if the car is parked I can't make it do the sound.

Ok let me reword it. Other that taking it back to the dealer. I would take a buddy to a side street or industrial complex have him get out and you back up then start rolling towards him then brake as your passing him. Having him lay down won't hurt either. Repeat as nessary trying to time it correctly. This may help you find the source of the problem.
