found out something about the CD changer..
I dont want to mess with FM modulation. I broke apart the CD changer and found that 4 wires directly trace to L+, L-, R+, and R- (screened on the board). These would be the on the far end of the plug (at the changer). They are the Green and Gray Wires (grn=left, gray=right, black stripe is for the neg side of course).
I figure that hitting "changer" is no less annoying than FM modulation, plus you get a low level input into your stock system (again, as long as a cd is playing in there).
I plan to trace the wire back up to the passenger seat, splice in some RCAs and a switcher. 3 in - 1 out (out heading back up to the headunit). This should work with 96+ max's.
I havent tested this, nor do I know the proper voltage input. I read a long time ago that this thing was pretty plug and play tho.
I will post more when I test it with another source (eventually a single disc DVD/mp3 player and a diversity TV tuner).
