UDP Installed SES light came on.
How do I get rid of the SES light? The car also initially wouldn't turn over either. I had to give it a wee bit of gas and it started right up. All we did was add on a UDP and new struts......
HELP!!!!!! How do I get rid of the light?

Before you reset the ECU, go somehwere like autozone and get the codes read. That'll give you a clue as to what's wrong. It could be nothing, or you screwed up the sensor that's behind the crank pulley. Have you had any driveability problems since the install?

Which belts did you use? Maybe you are underdriving the power steering too much and it is throwing a code. Might want to get under there and take a look around. There are an awful lot of tight spaces around those pulleys and somebody might have damaged something unrelated to the UDP during the install.

Everything looked like it was running perfectly with the wheel off. But I wasn't there when they installed it, so I don't know.
Crap, I hope nothing is damaged. That would REALLY suck.

a friend and myself just installed my udp from the group by about three days ago. i ended up reusing the stock belt for the power steering but both sizes recommended for the alt & compressor would not fit. we had to get one a little longer to make it work. ive got 15k miles on it if that makes any difference, it sure helped getting the stock pulley off. no problems starting up or any engine lights. it was hard feeling a difference the first day because it was 100 degrees outside and my intake was suffering. it finally got a reasonable temperature and i can definately feel the difference off the line. ive got an auto and it helped eliminate some of that lag. no difference in any accessory performance whatsoever.

Alright, I'm back. I had an interesting day.
My car is totally screwed up. 2K1HoMax took a scanner to my car and my Crank Pulley sensor is not responding. It is either broken or disconnected. I wouldn't think twice about a silly warning light, but I have to crank the key for a solid 20 seconds before the car will start.
I called the shop and they ordered me a new one. $60. I feel responsible because the shop is a suspension shop and I had to coax them into doing the UDP at the same time. Live and learn. I just want my damn car back to normal.
