WHERE do you change oil

I'm about to move into an apartment where the landlord does not allow you to change the oil on site. Any suggestions for a doityourselfer who still wants to change his own oil? And Pleeezzzee don't tell me to move again.

Re: Re: WHERE do you change oil

i advise you to change the oil at your apartment. And when your landlord complains, just tell him, "NO I WAS NOT!"

make sure you do it in a "pretty boy" tone and make wierd faces. And never forget to put your hands on your hips.

he won't bother you again.

Do it at a buddy's house. Changing oil on the max is SUPER easy due to the locatino of the oil pan and filter. You can do it in a parking lot. Just make sure that you dispose of your oil properly. ie at a collection center. I get very upset at people that throw oil away in the trash. VERY BAD for our environment.

i use my oil to kill the weed on my lawn, but for some odd reason i have blotches of brown on what was once upon a time my green lawn. just change your oil on a residential street. i park my car half on the sidewalk and change my oil.. (kev got me into doing it) i look like a ghetto monkey but hey it works and i dont' hafta worry bout the car falling on me or anything.

I always make sure I live in a house with a 2 car attached garage. I do this so I can can practice being a mechanic w/o a license. When I do work on my car that saves money I spend about 50% of the savings on new tools. Needless to say over the years I have gotten a nice set of tools and toys.
Be well!!!!

Do the change at a local Auto Zone or Pep Boys, etc. Hell, you should see the major engine work morons do in those parking lots. I can't imagine an oil change being a big deal.
