Glad that your wife's alright.

On a side note, did the side air bags deploy?

Guchi, thank the Lord your wife is OK. Cars are really easy to come by but a good wife is irreplaceable.

Layoff subtopic: I'm sorry you got laid off. But you somehow have to see it as an opportunity. Everything that happens in life (good or bad) should be seen as an opportunity. Maybe, you now have an opportunity for a career change OR to work for a much better company.

Pres. Bush subtopic: Sympatico, it's NOT Bush's fault that we the American Public are so heavily taxed. This extortion payout...er...tax money should be retained by the people in order for us to increase our spending and fuel the economy. At least Bush had the ***** to provide some tax relief. And don't even bring up that Liberal Tax & Spend scumbag Clinton. Trust me, we're a lot worse nation because of him! Clinton WILL rot in Hell!!

Some people just don't know how to drive here. Not at all implying that it was your wifes fault, but just a generalization. I mean, there are a few blind places that I've encountered where it's hard to tell when cars are coming.

If you're interested, check out www.maximage.org. That's all of the Hawaii Maxima Enthusiasts from Maui to the Big Island. Take care.
wassup Keegan. I believe we meet at the Nissan Corp night. I live out in Mililani. My car currently lives in Pearl City with the autobody shop.

laters~

If the van was the least bit illegally parked you probably have a case of partial responsibility (or something like that) against its operator (for causing an unsafe condition to exist). And although the Toyota's speed at impact was probably under 25 mph, its speed on approach almost certainly was not. Unless Toyota driver never touched the brakes. Get photos of the accident site.

On the other subtopic, layoffs happen. I'm in the same situation right now, and yesterday I ran into a guy I worked with a dozen years or so ago and found out that he's in the same boat. My suggestion here is to avoid tying your self-image too closely to your job if you work for somebody else. (It must be cosmic coincidence that Todd Rundgren's "Bang The Drum" is playing on the radio as I'm typing this, it goes something like this: "I don't wanna work, Wanna bang on the drum all day . . .", and I can't help grinning)

Norm
First off, Thank you everyone for your kind words. I appreciate everyones heartfelt words of encourgements and concerns. Again, my wife is doing good after the accident.

Norm, I understand that it wasn't my fault the company is closing down but thinking about the financial side. To save monthly payments on insurance I risked it and upped my deductible to $1000.00.

Never really had a vacation for the past two years...and enjoying the time off.
