2k2 stepping on toes?

Ive been out and about, racing some stuff lately and i feel as though i might haver stepped on some american muscle toe's. First race occured saturday night. I go out and i find this mustang GT. It had dual exhaust and maybe others, who knows. I pull up on him, and i hear him down shift so i down shift. Walk him and he quits. This was 98- mustang 4.6. THe nest race i pull up on the freeway and see this eclipse GT he keeps it gunned and again i go by him pretty good. I could see him making the go faster you damn car gesture. Quite funny. THen i find a Z28. I had a friend in the car and my friend motioned to let go and he guns it. I down shift and hang right beside him from 40 to about 70 after that he starts walking me. He said he had some computer upgrades, and intake and some other small mods. He said he runs low 13's high 12's so I was to dissappointed. THis by the way was an LS1 z28. Then tonite I come across a LT1 SS maybe a fake but definitely a z28. He sees me coming and cruises slow so I can catch him. I pull up already in 2nd gear holding 40. He sees me look at him and he guns it. I gun it. I pull right in front and sit there to about 90 when I cut off. Speed limit is only 35. I catch up to him and he ask what i got done to etc. etc. I said its bone stock I'll show you. He stops in the middle of the road and says lets go from a stop. Of course he jumps on me, damn rwd, but i sit right behind him. I quit he keeps going a little. THen I catch him and tell him there is no way my fwd will launch better than his rwd. So we go at it again this time from 20. I pull up on him and sit there and watch his headlights not move in my rearview. At 90 I shut it down. Not worth it. He blows by me. All in all i wish these dang cars were rwd maybe id have a chance, but oh well. You know when you bought it, no excuses. Anyway dont want to step on any american cars toes. That SS guy was quite impressed. I dont think he liked the nice chrome Maxima insignia he had to star at. haha. Well good night all.

Going 90 mph in a 35 mph zone!?! That is more than dangerous, it's stupid.

What we should do when we want a RWD "Maxima" is wait for Infiniti to move the I35 to RWD. I've read that Infiniti is committed to delivering a whole fleet or RWD cars... G35, Q45... etc... hopefully the RWD I35 comes to us soon.

I wonder if that could be transplated into the maxima.

That would be such a major project that it wouldn't be worth the $$...unless you wanted a $50,000 maxima. (The engine is transverse to start with...major headache)

I can't wait to get the G35 2-door. I love that car. It'll take me about 3 years, but I'll have it sooner or later!

Yes, G35 coupe would be nice. I raced a Firebird coupe the other day, and walked him. It was a newer year, but I couldn't tell what kind of engine it had. Did they come in a V6 option?

Yeah, I believe they came with a 200hp v6...or something close to that. I ran into an older (mid 80's) Formula 350 f-bird, but we didn't get a chance to go at it due to traffic. It might have been close, but you never know with those things...there are so many mods they can do....but at the same time an old auomatic one that wasn't taken care of is rather slow!
