NO power below 3k at ALL. doesnt it bother some of you people?

the VQ engine is known to have a lot of low down torque which many engines don't have(VR6 is a good competitor)....and with the intake i can't get a nice jump on lights.

i raced an AV6 and he stayed with me the whole time. he almost got a jump everytime.

what can i do?

 

when racing at the lights, did you:

turn off TCS and O/D, shift to 1, brake torque to 1500-2000rpm, then go WOT, shift to 2 around 6200rpm (computer thinks then shifts at redline), shift to D (O/D Off) around 6400rpm

that usually works...but in everyday driving, just gotta live with the lag

 

yep...i did everything except torque breaking...which i know he didn't do

 

Is your Berk INtake like the JWT cone intake? These cones dont do much. I have had it on about 2 years, cleaned it once. I think my gas problem MIGHT/DONT KNOW be due to the cone intake. Theres another reason for me to take it off. I need a real power MOD like a supercharger. Anyone got 5k for me?

 

the thing is, you push the gas below 3k, and the car doesn't pull like it used to do before the intake. i always loved to jump on other cars with that torque in the low down

hold the brake pedal down with your left foot and press the gas with your right. can only be done in automatic tranny cars

it brings the torque converter up to the stall speed quicker (for better launches off the line)

lol, i tried, too bad that i needed to add 8.5 grand to trade in my 2k1 SE....so not worth it
