Do Lowering Springs Go Bad??

I was thinking about buying some 1 year old Eibach pro kit springs for my 2k2 but was concerned that because they are used it might mean they are worn out or more prone to damage. Is this true or are buying used springs the same as buying a used fstb (meaning that metal is metal and it really can't go bad)

Maxi-overdose is right about the springs. Maybe check them in 100000 miles or so.
