Blue LED dome light stays on

I just put in a blue LED dome light I purchased from autodynamic.com. With the dome light switch to the middle position (light should only come on when the door is opened) there is a faint blue light ALWAYS coming from the bulb...like a pilot light. If I turn the switch to off (light doesn't come on with an open door) the pilot light goes out.

Is this normal? It didn't do this with the stock bulbs.

Oh...the light looks nice. It could be a little brighter, but it's nice.

Re: Blue LED dome light stays on

Blue LEDs are inherently very efficient. It only takes .25 mA (.00025 Amps) to make them illuminate visibly. The lamp socket might have a small amount of trickle current when in the middle position. This won't damage the LED and won't drain your battery.

Enjoy!!
