faulty fob

My Max is 3 years old.
The fob to unlock the door needs to be pressed 3 or 4 times to unlock the door.
The trunk and locking buttons work fine.
Is this a battery issue, or a damaged fob?
Please help.

Try opening it up, replace the battery and clean it out with some compressed air. That should fix you all up.

sorry..don't have a clue

fob started laughin the min I read the title

On related note..On 2k2s, when you press unlock twice and hold down the unlock button the second time, is the win. supposed to go down for as long as you keep the button depressed? Every time I try, it only cracks open the fronts about 3 inches. Then I gotta, press unl/unl & hold and it finally brings the wins. down all the way. Is this how it's supposed to be?

HAHA...that's why I opened the link, "fault fob", I was thinking boat things. Boy long day at work..anyhow just change the battery first, and clean out the fob and see if it works better. I've noticed I've had to change my battery out about every 6 or 8 months. If you haven't changed it in 3 years then it's the battery.
